# Backup & Restore

Save your data and restore from a backup if needed.

* Regular backups protect against data loss
* Restore a backup to recover from mistakes or problems
* Keep copies of important checkpoints

### Create a Backup

1. Go to **Settings** > **Database**.
2. Click **Create a backup**.

The backup is added to your backup list.

### Restore a Backup

**Warning:** Restoring overwrites your current data. This cannot be undone.

1. Go to **Settings** > **Database**.
2. Select the backup you want to restore.
3. Click **Restore the backup** and confirm.

### Delete a Backup

1. Go to **Settings** > **Database**.
2. Select the backup to delete.
3. Click **Delete the backup** and confirm.
